Stackit for iPhone and Android

Stackit has no account and no sign-in. Your settings, your records and the name you type stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere. One thing does leave: the score you finish the daily challenge with, so the game can tell you where it sits among everyone who played the same puzzle. There is no advertising in Stackit and no ad network in the app at all. This page says exactly what that one thing involves.

Who is responsible

Stackit is published by replusminus GmbH, Switzerland, which is the controller for the data described here. Reach us at [email protected].

On the App Store and on Google Play, Stackit is listed under the developer name Frank Pimenta. It is the same team and the same company — the stores show the account name, this page names the entity responsible.

The daily score you send

When you finish the daily challenge, the app sends us the score, how many moves it took, how long it took, which platform you played on and the app's version number. Nothing else. We use it for one thing: to say where that score sits among the people who played the same puzzle that day, and to draw the day's distribution at playstackit.com/today.

There is no name and no account attached to it. The app invents a random identifier for itself the first time it runs, and sends that instead. It is not your device ID, and not tied to anything you have or anything you are. Its only purpose is to keep one score per player per day, so that somebody replaying the daily cannot count twice.

And it does not last. The moment a day closes, that identifier has nothing left to do, and the app deletes it from our records and replaces it with a random one that links to nothing — not to you, not to your other days, not to each other. What remains is a score with nothing attached. This is not a policy we promise to follow: it happens automatically, the first time anyone submits a score on the following day.

We never publish a name or a ranking. The page shows counts and a distribution, because that is all we hold. There is nothing there to look anyone up by, including you — which also means we cannot delete one particular past score on request, because we have no way to tell which one it was. Scores from the current day can be removed if you ask us before it closes; write to [email protected] and we will explain what we need.

What stays on your device

All of it lives in the app's own storage. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it, and Clear data in Settings wipes the same things without uninstalling.

Your purchase

Stackit is bought once, up front, from the App Store or Google Play, and the purchase is handled entirely by them under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details. The app keeps no record of the purchase at all — there is nothing stored and nothing to restore, because owning Stackit is between you and your store. Reinstalling on a device signed in to the same store account gets it back, and clearing data cannot affect that, because ownership was never in the app’s data.

Your choices

Your rights

Under Swiss and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to its processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to a supervisory authority — the Swiss FDPIC, or the authority in your country.

In practice we hold nothing to give you: there is no account, and we receive none of the data above. Ask us anything at [email protected] and we will help you reach the right place.

Children

Stackit is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children, and it is not in Google Play's Designed for Families programme or Apple's Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If Stackit ever collects something new, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date below will change. We will not quietly widen what is collected.
